He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you but to do justly,
and to love kindness and mercy, and to humble yourself and walk humbly with your God? Micah 6:8

Dear Friend

If you are too busy to spend time in God’s presence, you are too busy!

Have you ever wondered what the traditional phrase “quiet time” means? You set aside this time to spend time with your Maker, God. The time that we purposefully spend in seeking God’s presence and hearing His voice is precious. This is the time when we slow down and relax enough to soften beyond our feelings. In this time, we are not ruled by our feelings because we learn to listen to God. This is when we are in no hurry to fix other people or rush to get things done. Quiet time is when we talk less and listen more to grow in love and compassion like Jesus. Time with God takes us to a new level of courage to do what Jesus taught us.

Matthew 6:6 - But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your unseen Father. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

My prayer. Lord, my heart cries out to your gentle Father-heart, for intimacy and close communion. I long to hear Your voice more and more. Please help me to quiet down enough to listen to You every day. Amen.

Spend time in God’s presence.
