Dear Friend
Imagine that you are in a situation where your words are the ultimate deciding factor between life and death. What are the wisest words you can choose to ensure that you live? Your words are precisely so dynamic that you are in such a situation every day. Your words determine your destiny. “Don’t shoot off your mouth or speak before you think. Don’t be too quick to tell God what you think he wants to hear. God’s in charge, not you—the less you speak, the better” (Ecclesiastes 5:2 MSG). Ecclesiastes 5:2 NIV: Do not be quick with your mouth, do not be hasty in your heart to utter anything before God. God is in heaven and you are on earth, so let your words be few. My prayer. Heavenly Father, I pray that my words will be pleasing in Your ears because I chose to invite You to be in charge of my life. Please forgive me for the times when my mouth runs away from my brain. Help me to be wise and to use my words to build up and encourage every person I meet. I want to use my life and my words to worship You. You are my Lord. Amen. Do not be quick with your mouth.
