What is a promise from God? W. E. Vine says a promise is "a gift graciously bestowed, not a pledge secured by negotiation". The promises of God are not exchangeable and unreliable because He is Sovereign above all. His Word stands irrespective of what we think. However, there are “terms and conditions” to receiving and accepting as He promised. The preconditions and results of receiving the promises from God are a grateful heart and giving HIM all the glory. 2 Corinthians 9:11 NIV: "You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God". My Prayer. LORD, You have blessed and enriched me in every way. You opened the doors for us to share Your Word with passion and conviction. Thank you that we know that your Word will never return to you without doing what You sent it to do. Please use us to share the message of Salvation in Jesus Christ. Help us to lead disciples who love You and honour Your Word. LORD, I pray for a mighty revival in South Africa. You have the hearts of rulers in Your hand, and You can speak to people who didn’t ask for You. Bestow Your wisdom on the leaders of this country. We need You in this time, as we pray in the mighty Name of Jesus Christ. Amen. A grateful heart sees many miracles.
